Day 2: Hiking Tour in Corcovado National Park
We start our day with a guided hiking tour in the Corcovado National Park. Because of its proximity to the great primary forest there is a great biodiversity, where paths lead us through mostly flat terrain near the beach, with small rivers. You will admire ceibo trees, heliconias, lianas, orchids. Your guide will give you some very interesting information about the use of the medical plants.
Another option is a more intense hike through a mountainous primary forest. On this tour you can immerse yourself in a completely different type of ecosystem, where vegetation is denser, with giant trees of 50 meters high, laden with mosses, bromeliads and ferns, life harboring more life. In both tours you can not only admire the richness of vegetation but also the animal world that is hidden, be careful because your guide will show you monkeys, toucans, macaws that appear in the dense jungle, territory of pumas and tapirs that only this magnificent place will give you a chance to live. After dinner, you can still enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the place, listening to the sounds of the forest at nightfall.

Day 3: Mangrove Kayak Tour
Today in the morning you can visit the unique and mystical world of mangroves, where you can explore with your expert naturalist guide the mangrove forest with interconnecting root systems. Mangroves located between land and sea offer a unique variety of animals and plants. In the mangroves live about 100 species of birds, a variety of giant snakes, tree frogs and native turtles of this area. There is also a lot of small organisms such as algae, snails or crabs who are seeking protection from predators looking for their food. You will slide silently between lianas and trees with aerial roots, hopefully you can detect even alligators, iguanas, crocodiles or groups of capuchin monkeys playing in the trees.
In the afternoon you can explore the fascinating nature of Corcovado National Park on your own. La Leona offers a diverse variety of tours for bird watching, hiking in the national park, night tours or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings and spectacular sunsets.
